Who shows up

Hi, I'm Zack.

Fifteen years on the tools across the west Denver metro. Most electrical jobs in a house are small: a dead outlet, a dated light, a fan hung from a box that was never made to hold it.

I'm a licensed contractor, so the job doesn't stop at swaps. A new circuit, or a box where there's never been one, is the same visit, not a second trade.

What’s covered

Electrical & Lighting services in Lakewood, CO

Everything under this heading, handled on the same visit where the job allows.

Outlets & Switches

Dead, loose or scorched outlets and switches replaced, including GFCI outlets in kitchens, baths and outside.

Light Fixture Installation

Fixtures swapped at existing boxes, including flush mounts, pendants and vanity lights, with the box checked for proper support.

Ceiling Fan Installation

Fans installed on fan-rated boxes. If yours isn't rated for the weight and vibration, replacing it is part of the job.

Thermostat Installation

Smart and programmable thermostats installed and set up, including checking whether your system has the common wire it needs.

Smoke & CO Alarm Installation

Alarms replaced at existing locations and placed to code where they're missing. The cheapest safety work in the house.

Bath Fan Replacement

Noisy or weak exhaust fans replaced with a properly sized unit, ducted to the outside rather than into the attic.

How it works

From your list to done

  1. Step 01

    Send me the list

Call, text, or use the form. Photos help more than descriptions do — most jobs can be quoted from a picture without a site visit.

  2. Step 02

    Get a real number back

Usually within one business day, itemized, with materials at cost and no charge for driving out to you.

  3. Step 03

I show up and fix it

The person who quoted your job is the person who does it. Batch a few items into one visit and the whole list costs less than two separate trade calls.

“Great work, great communication, great follow-through. I'm very impressed with the attic fan install Zack did, which involved long, hot work amidst blown-in insulation. He made himself available quickly and then stayed late to finish the job. Thanks Zack.”

Common questions

Electrical & Lighting FAQs

Quick answers to the questions Denver homeowners and businesses ask me most.

Can you install a ceiling fan where there's only a light?

Yes. If there's already a box and a switch, the main thing is the box. A normal light box isn't made to hold a fan's weight and shaking, and fans do fall from them, so I put in a fan-rated box. If there's no box or no switch at all, I run those too. It makes the job bigger, not impossible.

Do I need an electrician for any of this?

No, that's the point of calling me. Swaps, new boxes and new circuits are all one visit with one person. I'm a licensed contractor, and I'll tell you what your job involves before any money changes hands.

Should I buy the fixture or should you?

Whichever you like. Plenty of people pick their own: it's your house and your taste. If you'd rather I get it, I pick it up and charge you what I paid. I don't mark up materials, and I don't charge for drive time.

Can you do a few small jobs in one visit?

Yes, and it's the best way to use me. A dead outlet, a light to swap and a chirping smoke detector are one visit, not three. There's no drive-time charge, so a short list is still worth sending.
