TV Mounting & Installation in Lakewood, CO

Mounting a TV is easy. Mounting a TV so it's level, at the right height, anchored into something that will hold it for a decade, with no cables dangling down the wall — that's a service worth an hour of someone's Saturday. TVs are big, walls vary, and the stakes are the TV.

The approach

How I handle tv mounting & installation.

The anchoring is the whole job. A modern 65-inch TV plus a full-motion mount is a serious cantilevered load, and it lives or dies by what the lags bite into — studs found and hit dead center, or rated anchors in brick and block. Metro fireplaces bring their own materials: brick, river rock, tile over who-knows-what. Each one anchors differently and I've met most of them. What never holds is drywall alone, which is how TVs end up on floors and mounts end up ripping softball-sized holes on the way down.

Cable concealment is where a mount turns into a clean installation. Surface raceway painted to the wall is quick and respectable. In-wall routing is the fully invisible version — power handled with a code-compliant in-wall kit rather than a cord stuffed through the cavity, HDMI and low-voltage dropped to a media console or an outlet relocated behind the panel entirely. As a licensed contractor I can add the outlet behind the TV properly, which is the difference between hidden and actually gone.

Placement advice comes free with the drilling. Above-fireplace mounting runs hot and high — sometimes it's still the right call for the room, and a tilt or pull-down mount fixes the neck angle; sometimes the honest answer is the wall to the left and everyone's happier. Height matters more than people expect: eye level from your actual seating beats gallery height every time. Ten minutes of holding cardboard against the wall saves years of looking slightly up.

What’s included

Every tv mounting & installation project includes:

  • Mount anchored into studs or proper masonry anchors — never just drywall
  • Height and viewing angle set for the room, not the mount's default
  • Flat, tilt, and full-motion mounts — yours or picked up at cost
  • Cables concealed: raceway on the surface or routed inside the wall
  • In-wall power solutions done to code, not an extension cord in the cavity
  • Soundbars mounted and old TVs rehung or hauled away
