Washer & Dryer Repair in Lakewood, CO

Laundry machines are the workhorses of the house — a thousand-plus cycles a decade — and their failures are wonderfully predictable. A dryer with no heat, a washer that won't drain, a spin cycle that sounds like a jet: each points at a short list of parts, and most of those parts are honest, replaceable, and cheaper than new machines.

The approach

How I handle washer & dryer repair.

Washer complaints sort themselves quickly. Won't drain: a pump clogged with the sock it's been threatening to eat, or a failed pump — both findable in minutes. Won't spin: lid switch, belt, or motor coupling depending on the machine's design. Leaks: door boots on front-loaders, fill and drain hoses, pump seals — each leaves water in a different place, which is the map. Shaking the house on spin: suspension worn out, or a load of towels ganged up on one side. The point is that none of these is mysterious, and most are mid-range repairs on machines with years left.

Dryer complaints are even more concentrated. No heat with a running drum is a thermal fuse, heating element, or — on gas machines — the igniter or coils, and here's the part that matters: the thermal fuse that killed the heat almost always blew because the vent was choked. Fixing the fuse without fixing the airflow is a subscription to fuse replacement. Every dryer repair here includes a vent check, and when the vent's the disease, the cleaning or repair happens as part of the same problem — both of those have their own pages and my same hands.

Gas dryers deserve a specific mention because they're where repair options thin out. Plenty of outfits won't touch the gas side; as a licensed contractor, igniters, gas valve coils, flame sensors, and the connection itself are all in scope, leak-tested, one visit. And when any machine genuinely reaches its end — bearings gone on a decade-old front-loader, a control board costing half a new unit — I'll say so plainly and can handle the replacement install, hookups and haul-away included.

What’s included

Every washer & dryer repair project includes:

  • Washers: drain, spin, fill, leak, and balance problems diagnosed at the part
  • Dryers: no-heat, no-tumble, and long-dry failures fixed — gas and electric
  • Error codes read and traced to components, not just cleared
  • Pumps, belts, rollers, elements, igniters, and boots replaced with quality parts
  • The vent checked on every dryer call, because it's the culprit half the time
  • Repair-vs-replace math given straight, by machine age and failure
