Fascia Board Replacement
Rotted or split fascia replaced with sound wood, and whatever caused the rot corrected in the same visit.
Services
Soffit and fascia are the trim you never look at until a squirrel moves in or the gutter starts sagging. They close the roof edge against weather and pests, ventilate the attic, and carry the gutters — three jobs that all fail together once rot gets a start. Caught early, this is straightforward carpentry.
The approach
Fascia rot is almost never the fascia's fault. The usual culprit is the gutter riding on it — overflowing behind, holding wet debris against the wood, or pulling loose and letting water track where it shouldn't. Replacing the board without fixing the cause buys you the same repair again in three years. Every fascia job here starts with why the board failed, and the gutter correction is part of the work, not an extra.
Soffits are your attic's air intake, which makes them more than cosmetic. Blocked, rotted, or badly patched soffits choke attic ventilation — in summer that cooks the roof deck, and in winter it feeds the freeze-thaw and ice-dam cycle. When I replace soffit material, the venting comes back equal or better, matched to what the attic actually needs rather than whatever solid board is cheapest to nail up.
Openings at the roofline are an invitation, and the front range's squirrels, flickers, and wasps all accept. A soft soffit corner becomes an access hole with remarkable speed. I close these permanently — sound material, sealed edges, vent screening where airflow still matters — and always after making sure the current tenants have left, because sealing a squirrel inside an attic converts a carpentry problem into a much worse one.
What’s included
What’s covered
Everything under this heading, handled on the same visit where the job allows.
Rotted or split fascia replaced with sound wood, and whatever caused the rot corrected in the same visit.
Sagging, rotted, or damaged soffit panels replaced with ventilation preserved or improved.
Squirrel, bird, and wasp entry points at the roofline closed properly — after confirming the attic is vacant.
The fascia sections behind failing gutters rebuilt, so hangers bite into wood that will actually hold.
